  6. For me personally, I would say Emo is its own distinct genre from Post Hardcore, but does however have similar ROOTS and ORIGINS from Post Hardcore. With both being evolutions of Hardcore Punk, with Post Hardcore it was more instrumental and genre specific, but with Emo it was more lyric specific.
