1995. Microsoft Encarta was a home oriented interactive encyclopedia that was often sold with new OEM machines. Unlike a paper encyclopedia, Encarta took full advantage of being on a computer, with updates from the Internet, sound clips and movies, interactive charts and games, and good navigation.

While it may be possible to find a download of its ISO on sites of "abandonware", or software that is no longer available from or supported by the original software company, it will not run on WIndows 10.
