Eric Sykes CBE (4 May 1923 – 4 July 2012) was an English radio, stage, television and film writer, comedian, actor and director whose performing career spanned more than 50 years.
Actor: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 'Eric Sykes' started as a radio scriptwriter but he soon found he could perform as well as write. The slight handicap of being very hard of hearing doesn't interfere with his wonderful comic timing.

Eric Sykes (born May 4, 1923, Oldham, Lancashire, England—died July 4, 2012) was a British comedy writer and performer whose long career included stints writing for the popular radio program The Goon Show and for television’s Sykes, in which he also starred.
