The mission of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Investigation Division is to effectively serve and protect the communities with, professional and impartial investigation of crimes, violent activity, and criminal complaints.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Eddie Soileau, is responsible for upholding law and order in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. The office is located at 200 Court Street in Ville Platte and is open from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with a lunch break from 12 pm to 12:30 pm.
The mission of the Evangeline Parish Patrol Division is to provide the best law enforcement possible to everyone. We will be transparent, fair and courteous while enforcing the law. We will strive to stop crime and protect the people and their property.
Communication Officers give important information to deputies, such as license plate numbers, warrant checks and background information on suspects. They are responsible for creating incident and reports, lists and logs based on the calls, and in some cases training new communications officers.
