This episode was Rick and Morty at its confused worst. It is endemic of a concept that doesn't have the legs to fill a 70 episode order; very few shows are structured to allow this. In my opinion, when we followed Morty the episode was saccharin and unfunny and when we followed Rick it was just unfunny.
