Copy and paste the Server URL and stream key to your encoding software. Each encoding software has its own configuration. In most cases, you need to find and edit stream settings and configure a Custom Streaming Server or RTMP Server as the type and enter the copied server URL and/or stream key.
1. Create a live stream. Go to fb.gg/streamer, select Create Live Stream. Under Post, choose where you want your live stream to appear (i.e. your Creator Page vs. your personal Profile page). 2. Enable your encoder. Copy and paste the server URL and/or stream key into the settings of your encoder.
Click Get stream key to open Live Producer in a new window, then click Select on the Go live card. From the Stream setup tab, find your Stream key in the Streaming software setup module. Click to Copy your stream key, then paste it into OBS and click OK. When you’re ready, click Start streaming.
The server URL and stream key are valid for as long as you are logged into Facebook. Once you preview the stream, you have up to 5 hours to go live. If you need more time, create a new server URL or stream key closer to the event time. Turn on persistent stream key.

Go to https://www.facebook.com/live/create. Click Create Live Stream. Choose where you want to post your live broadcast. Click Select from Go Live module. Click Streaming Software from Select a video source section. Toggle ON Persistent stream key under Advanced Settings.
The stream key and server URL allow you to send a Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) output from the streaming software to Live Producer. Facebook live streaming requires RTMPS which is encrypted for security. As long as your app can produce a live RTMPS stream, you can stream to Facebook using Live API. Learn more.
