     Happy 64th birthday to Fairytale Town! On August 29, 1959, the “storybook park” located in William Land Park, known as Fairytale Town, opened to the public. Fairytale Town was first conceived in 1956 after the initial success of Disneyland. More than 17,000 people visited during the opening weekend.
