Apr 3, 2001 · Fieldy uses a Mesa 400+ head and that's where I believe he get part of that clicking sound (heavily scooped mids). He also has basically no action. His strings are right next to the fretboard, which initiates his clicky-ness.

Nov 14, 2000 · By turning up and down either he uses the 3-band EQ onboard on his bass or he uses an equalizer. The most important part of the sound is the mic'ing of the horn though.

Hello there, I need some help with setting up the signature tone of Fieldy's bass. I recently got my Ibanez K5 bass which is literally his signature bass, but I can't set the tone right for the life of me. I did the following: - Tuned down to ADGCF. - Cut the mids. - Boosted lows and highs.
