Usernames help people find businesses on both Facebook and Messenger, so they can connect with and message the businesses they’re interested in more easily. Because each username is unique, they also help people to identify your exact business, even if you have a relatively common name.
- Locate the search window at the top of your Facebook page. Enter your city and the type of business you would like to find. For example, entering "Pittsburgh pet grooming" would produce search results for pet groomers in the Pittsburgh area.
- View the drop-down window with the top few search results. Pan to the bottom of the list and click "See more results..". to navigate to a more extensive results list or click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the search window to open all the search results.
- Browse the full results to locate your desired business. Use Facebook's search filters located along the left side of the page if there are too many entries or if you're having difficulties finding your preferred business.
- Click the "Pages" filter link to view only the official business pages from the area specified in your initial search. Clicking the "People" filter will include personal Facebook pages mentioning the type of business in your search.
