The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is a former factory located within the Milwaukee Junction area of Detroit, Michigan, in the United States. Built in 1904, it was the second center of automobile production for the Ford Motor Company, after the Ford Mack Avenue Plant.

As the birthplace of the Ford Model T car, the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is recognized as one of the most significant automotive heritage sites in the world. Built: 1904 on Piquette Avenue and the Milwaukee Junction Rail Line. Architect: Field, Hinchman & Smith, Detroit, Michigan.
DIRECTIONS. 461 Piquette Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202. The museum is located on the northwest corner of Piquette and Beaubien, three blocks east of Woodward Avenue; two blocks north of I-94 (exit 215c); two blocks south of West Grand Boulevard; and three blocks west of I-75 (exit 54).

Today the plant is doing business as the “Ford Piquette Avenue Plant” (FPAP). FPAP is dedicated to preserving the building and providing a unique experience of early automotive history and Detroit innovation. Since being acquired in 2000, the building’s structure has been stabilized.
