Biography by AllMovie. A director of low-budget features for Sierra Pictures in the mid-'20s, Francis Corby later helmed such comedy series as The Newlyweds and Their Baby and Buster Brown. He became a cinematographer after the changeover to sound, photographing Our Gang comedies, Laurel and Hardy features, and several low-budget action melodramas.
