We set about removing all the old urea glue which takes….. forever, and then we reassemble the puzzle using some bad ass adhesive. Strong and functional for years to come, you go Frank.

Does anyone know of someone who repairs the Gehry bentwood chairs where the glued joints have failed? From what I've read on the net, it is an extremely common problem and one that is not easily fixed for the long term.
Frank Gehry Cross Check Chair. Acquired this chair and as an architect I’m super excited. Most of the glue joints have failed but no other damage apparent. My plan is to carefully apply wood glue between the pieces and clamp up, individually. Checking for and cleaning up any glues that squeezes out.
