Frankenfish is a 2004 American horror film directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé. Filmed in Baldwin County, Alabama , a pack of massive, bloodthirsty, genetically engineered fish combing the quiet bayou waters of the river in the Louisiana Bayou, searching for prey.

It’s kinda bizarre that the guy who directed “Spawn” directed this. This is big dumb fun. My biggest complaint is that the poster sells a wilder movie than this is. In fact the biggest surprise is that this movie goes a more grounded route for most of the story.

The Good News: For being a cable-TV production, I couldn't believe how graphic this was. 'Frankenfish' might be the goriest of the channel's film, and gives gore hounds plenty to drool over. Amputations, dismemberment's, and decapitations are simply some of this film's more gory moments.
Dec 22, 2011 · Mark A.Z. Dippé directs with a fair competence. The film has been economically contrived so that almost all of it takes place around three houseboats in a single lagoon. The Frankenfish effects, which are done on the cheap by a South Korean CGI house, are competent and there is a fair array of splattery gore effects throughout.
