Aug 27, 2016 · In today’s video, we’re going to look at the super-famous Liebestraume by Liszt, which is a set of 3 notturnos (nocturnes) translated as “Dreams of Love”. We’re specifically going to hone in on the third one of the set, as it’s the most famous, but we’ll talk briefly about the other ones as well.

Feb 20, 2007 · Liszt wrote three Liebesträume, a title meaning 'Dreams of Love'. They were written around 1850, the same time that Liszt composed his famous Sonata in b minor. Compared to that volatile and virtuosic work, the Liebesträume are in a much more restrained mood, as three love-songs without words.

During his time in Weimar, Liszt composed and published his piano nocturnes, Liebestraum (Dreams of Love). This set of three piano works portray Liszt’s romantic writing, as well as programme music.
