Norfolk Brewing Facility. Our brewery has a 22,000 barrel brewhouse – enough to service much of the Eastern Seaboard. It’s expandable to 30,000 barrels which would put us close to brewing 500,000 cases of beer per year. There’s a très cool atmosphere in the Lanterne microbrewery with welcoming seating among the splendid copper kettles. This place revisits classics and introduces new varieties like the fresh Casablanca, a white beer, brewed with barley malt, wheat and oats for ‘vigor’.
HOW WE BREW. Our beer is handcrafted on-site at our happy (and, we suppose, hoppy) home in Franschhoek. As our brewmaster is a perfectionist, he only uses the purest Franschhoek mountain spring water and the best quality imported hops and malt he can lay his hands on to ensure a superior beer.
