Richard Fairbrass. Richard Peter John Fairbrass (born 22 September 1953) [1] is an English singer, bassist, and television presenter, best known as lead singer of the pop group Right Said Fred, who achieved hits in the early 1990s including the singles "I'm Too Sexy" and "Deeply Dippy". He and his band have won two Ivor Novello Awards. [2]
Prior to forming Right Said Fred, the Fairbrass brothers had been playing music since the mid-1970s: as part of a band called The Actors, the brothers had toured with Suicide and supported Joy Division at the Factory club in Manchester. The Fairbrass brothers formed the group in 1989, with Richard on lead vocals and bass and Fred on guitar.

They left the group in 1989 and went alone, taking their name from actor and sometime singer Bernard Cribbins’ 1962 top ten hit, “Right Said Fred”.
