May 8, 2020 You'd be well advised to read the original book and read up on Hunter S. Thompson before watching the film adaptation of Fear and Loathing. But given how tricky the film must have been to script, it does capture both the dark and the amusing sides of the original, and is very quotable.

A (somewhat) true story about one of the craziest trips 2 men could ever take to Las Vegas, while also being a commentary on how "The American Dream" is essentially the death-rattle of the 60's peace movement, presented in Terry Gilliam's signature visual style. Underrated, amazing performances from Depp and Del Toro, and quite brilliant overall.
