You’ll find entertainment, vendors, sales at local shops, and great eats. It’s a great chance to explore new areas! Here’s a whole list of neighborhood hops and walks, along with the featured ones below.
- Ohio State University. Colleges & Universities N High St, Columbus, OH 43210. The Ohio State University is a public research university best known for its football team, which plays at the 104,944-seat Ohio Stadium.
- Short North Arts District. Neighborhoods 120 W Goodale St, Columbus, OH 43215. A fine example in which creativity is mixed with commerce and with entertainment, the Short North Arts District features 16 galleries, 46 restaurants, cafes, and eateries, more than 2 bars and nightclubs, and almost 60 shops.
- Ohio State Fairgrounds. National & State Parks 717 E 17th Ave, Columbus, OH 43211. Home of one of the largest state fairs in the United States, the Ohio State Fairgrounds hosts a yearly event that features concerts and other live music offerings.
- Schiller Park. Parks 1000 City Park Avenue, Columbus, OH 43206. Open to the public since 1867, Schiller Park has amenities like walking paths, gazebos, tennis courts, and bronze statues.
- Visit a park. Get some fresh air and take a walk through a nearby park. Bring your four-legged friend along too.
- Go to a farmers market. Farmers markets can be a great place to buy affordable produce, but you don’t have to spend a dime to enjoy your trip. Browse local artisans’ goods, taste samples and listen to live music.
- Take a hike. Enjoy the health benefits of hiking while immersed in nature.
- Go biking. Grab your set of wheels and take off on a trail. If you prefer a more urban setting, bike around the city to check out public murals or notable landmarks.
