Friedrich " Fritz " Pfeffer (30 April 1889 – 20 December 1944) was a German dentist and Jewish refugee who hid with Anne Frank and her family and the Van Pels family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. He perished in the Neuengamme concentration camp in Northern Germany.

Dec 15, 2008 · In August 1944, Fritz was arrested when the Secret Annex was raided by the security police. He was transferred with the others to Westerbork camp and on to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Mar 4, 2014 · Pfeffer was imprisoned at the Neuengamme concentration camp near Hamburg. He passed away on December 20, 1944, from enterocolitis, a fatal diarrheal disease, four and a half months after he was betrayed.

On 16 November 1942, Fritz Pfeffer went into hiding in the annex at Prinsengracht 263. There he remained until the raid of 4 August 1944. He slept in the narrow room, which he shared with Anne Frank, in the back right-hand corner of the second floor of the Secret Annex.
