Born Chang Fu-sheng to a wealthy family in 1954 in Hong Kong, he bucked the family trend in academics to pursue an acting career. After his stint at training school, he got a leg-up in Shaw Brothers when he was cast in The 14 Amazons. With his mischievous good looks, versatility and agility, he quickly became a favorite of martial arts luminaries.
In 1973, Lam Chun Sing sifu set up his own gung fu gymnasium and dit-da clinic in Jordan of Hong Kong where he taught the traditional art of Hung Kuen to anyone wishing to learn. A year later he closed down the Jordan school before venturing into business.

Alexander Fu Sheng (Chinese: 傅聲; born Cheung Fu-sheng 張富聲; 20 October 1954 – 7 July 1983), also known as Fu Sing, was a Hong Kong martial arts actor. One of Hong Kong's most talented performers, Fu rose to prominence in the 1970s starring in a string of movies with the Shaw Brothers that accrued him international stardom throughout Asia and parts of North America.
