The Hoovers [HCG / HGC ] are a collection of several different Crip affiliated street gangs along Hoover Avenue in South Los Angeles in the City of Los Angeles and into Unincorporated sections of Los Angeles County. The original Hoovers formed around 92nd & Hoover Avenue around 1969 or 1970 and were also known as the Hoover Groovers.
