Gene Chizik, a 27-year veteran of collegiate coaching, returned to North Carolina for his second stint on Jan. 8, 2022. Chizik, who has won National Championships as a head coach at Auburn and a defensive coordinator at Texas, serves as the Assistant Head Coach for Defense on Mack Brown’s staff.
