I saw a thread on twitter of people dogpiling Geoff Johns basically saying that because he had creative differences with Ray Fisher he’s somehow a racist. Can anyone explain this to me? In terms of cast line-ups, Geoff Johns is one of the most diverse writers of comics of all time. His team books were always diverse, especially JSA.
Geoff was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget.
Dec 15, 2021 · A lot of Johns stories were about how dark things were and that the only way to fix them was to go back to a simpler time. Here's the thing, though: Johns wrote a lot of dark stories. In fact, Johns seemed to be all about the violence and being an edgelord. At the time, though, I fell for the whole thing, hook, line, and sinker.

According to Fisher, Johns was one of a number who harassed him and used racist phrases towards him, though not much has stood out since then.
