George I of Pomerania (German: Herzog Georg I. von Pommern; 11 April 1493 – 10 May 1531) was a Duke of Pomerania from the House of Griffin. Life [ edit ] George was the eldest son of Duke Bogislaw X of Pomerania and his second wife Anna of Poland , a daughter of King Casimir IV of Poland.

A frock coat was bought by George in 1860, as was another for the Prince of Wales that same year.

The first creation of a dukedom of Richmond (as Duke of Richmond and Somerset) was made in 1525 for Henry FitzRoy, an illegitimate son of King Henry VIII. His mother was Elizabeth Blount. Upon the Duke's death without children in 1536, his titles became extinct.
