Georges L. Schreiber (1904-1977) 1) Ringmaster, (1959). The two color lithographs, published by Associated American Artists in an edition of 300 prints, are each signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right. Image size 23 x 14, sheets measure 26 x 17.75 inches each.
He studied art in Germany before immigrating to the United States in 1928. Both as a painter and as a lithographer, Schreiber is known both for landscapes and city views. He was particularly taken by the poverty in the countryside, and depicted brave Americans facing hard work on farms.
