Oct 23, 2021 · In September 1840, the whaling ship Hope discovered the ghost ship as well as the frozen remains of her crew. Some accounts state the Hope crew found the passengers frozen in place and life-like. According to the Hope’s captain, the Jenny’s last log entry was January 17, 1823, and her last port was Lima, Peru.
