I heard a few people aay that the ending of Gilgamesh ripped off NGE. This is false. The manga to Gilgamesh came out it 1976 and ended in 1978. Idk how different the anime and manga are but if they are anything alike, then yeah, Gilgamesh didn't copy NGE.
