The first Catholic church in Fredericksburg was a log house built in 1848. In 1863, it was replaced by this stone building. By 1901, the church building was too small for the congregation, so a new church was designed by San Antonio architect Leo M.J. Dielmann and built by contractor Jacob Wagner in 1906.
Gillespie County is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census , its population was 26,725. [1] The county seat is Fredericksburg . [2]
