On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Open Google Maps. If you don’t yet have the app, download it from the Play Store. Search for your destination or tap it on the map. In the bottom left, tap Directions . Choose your mode of transportation. For Driving Transit you can pin your favorite trips.

Search for a place on Google Maps. On your computer, open Google Maps. Type an address or name of a place. Press Enter or click Search . To filter your search results, use the drop-down menus below the search box. You get search results as red mini-pins or red dots, where mini-pins show the top results. The square pins are ads.

Offline maps that you downloaded on your phone or tablet must be updated before they expire. When your offline maps expire in 15 days or less, Google Maps tries to update the area automatically when you're connected to Wi-Fi.
