A googolplex is the large number 10 googol, or equivalently, 1010100 or 1010,000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000, 000,000,000. Written out in ordinary decimal notation, it is 1 followed by 10 100 zeroes; that is, a 1 followed by a googol of zeroes.
While this number can easily be written as googolplex = 10 googol = 10 (10 100 ) using the exponential notation, it has often been claimed that the number googolplex is so large that it can never be written out in full.
