When Austen visited, the church was full of box pews with walls around them. Some were three feet high, some were four feet high.

Very accessible from Little Bookham, Great Bookham, Fetcham, Cobham road and Downside - with car parks at each of these entrance points. The land is superbly maintained and managed by Ian Swinney the National Trust warden who lives on site.
