    Dear Melia, Not my Collier family, but the name of Caspar Collier and the location of Coxsackie, Greene County, NY makes it well worth checking on descent from Jochim Caljer, who was in early New Amsterdam, and whose descendants moved up the Hudson Valley and eventually Anglicized the surname.
