The church has a rich history and was the catalyst for the Swiss Reformation in the German-speaking region under Huldrych Zwingli and Heinrich Bullinger. Zurich’s patron saints, Felix and Regula, are said to have been buried beneath the church.
Jan 19, 2023 · Choir WIndow, Grossmunster. The famous Zurich artist Augusto Giacometti created the choir window in 1933 which stands prominently at the end of the church. There are also a series of stained glass windows at the bach from Sigmar Polke who won a competition from the church in 2005 to create a series of new windows.
