It is directed by George Gargurevich, Krystoff Pizykucki, Paul Black, Phil Dornfield, Ravi Kumar, and Savina Dellicour, and written by George Augusto. Brief Synopsis. A woman's murder consumes a small Long Island, New York, town and its church community. Watching Lifetime Movie Network is one of my secret enjoyments, and "Guilty Hearts" is, to me anyway, the shining epitome of LMN's "true/based on a true story" variety. LMN always shows it in its entirety (3 hours), so it lasts 4 hours with commercials (a veritable Godzilla of a melodrama).
Synopsis by Hal Erickson. This two-part TV movie was based on the true story of a Long Island heart specialist, accused of killing his wife out of love for his mistress. Treat Williams stars as Dr. Stephen Carrow, whose longtime "perfect" marriage disintegrates when he falls for unhappily married church organist Jenny Moran (Marcia Gay Harden).
