Sat, Feb 11, 1967. Marshal Dillon is trying to bring a suspected murderer back for trial (on foot)for killing a lawman friend of the Marshal's. He finds the man near a large sheep ranch run by an independent Australian immigrant named Tyson. Tyson wants to handle the prisoner in his own way for allegedly killing a few of Tyson's ranch hands.
Gunsmoke will be remembered as the finest television western series of all time. I remember watching Gunsmoke in the late 1950's. In black and white or in color it was consistently good, in large part, due to its talented cast. Originally John Wayne was offered the part but felt TV was not his cup of tea.

Lijah, an itinerant mountain man, happens on three murdered members of the Ezra Parker family, and discovers the lone survivor, ten-year-old Rachel Mae, hiding in the root cellar. As Lijah is burying the family, Hale Parker, Rachel Mae's shiftless uncle, comes on the scene. In a struggle with the supposed killer Lijah, Hale is knocked unconscious.
