The actor Gustav Heinrich Fröhlich grew up in the care of foster-parents. During the World War I he volunteered for a duty in the occupied Brussels as supervisioner of the press. His literary talent appeared in the publishing of two issues of a dime novel called "Heinz Brandt, der Fremdenlegionär".
