Gustavo Alfredo Santaolalla (Spanish: [ɡusˈtaβo alˈfɾeðo santaoˈlaʝa]; born 19 August 1951) is an Argentine composer and musician known for his minimalist scores.He rose to fame for composing the soundtracks to the films Babel (2006) and Brokeback Mountain (2007), for which he received two Academy Awards for Best Original Score in those consecutive years.
