About Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace 경복궁 景福宮 is one of the five major palaces of the Joseon Dynasty located in Seoul and is the main palace (law palace) of Joseon. It is the first one of the five palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty when King Taejo founded the Joseon Dynasty and moved the capital to Hanyang.
