  2. Nov 14, 2021 · Here’s an easy workaround that does not require you to download again and again. You can open HotS without battle.net by opening the HeroesSwitcher_x64.exe. For most people it’s located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Heroes of the Storm\Support64\HeroesSwitcher_x64.exe. Tip: make a desktop shortcut.

  3. You can go into your battle.net settings and turn off "Keep This Game Updated Automatically". This will stop the pop-up downloads from happening, and it will only happen when you start up the game. Sucks that it's been going on for like a week now, but that's the best solution I've found in the interim.

  4. Go to your install directory ("...\Heroes of the Storm\Support64") Launch "HeroesSwitcher_x64.exe" to bypass battle.net (I recommend making a shortcut to this launcher by the way). You'll have to manually log in on the launch screen but it's a small price to pay to get in game.
