Convenient place to experience tall redwood trees in the San Francisco Bay area. Aug 2021. We visited the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park after stepping off the train at the Roaring Camp Railroad. The park is just across the railroad tracks. We only hiked the Redwood Grove Loop Trail which is less than a mile.
