They are WW pattern, almost always with a collet holding tailstock, and of supreme quality. They often go cheaper than similar lathes from the above brands as few people recognize them for what they are.

It would seem that if Mr. de Carle knew the true manufacturer himself, he didn't feel the need to be forthcoming about revealing it!
