Strange film, slightly absurd if you ask me. humorous how Hesher gives himself access to the house and how soon he just fits in and watches tv together with dad and laughs with grandma and later throws everything in the pool and even rides a bike in it[/spoiler ] In itself you are quite raw in the film the father is lying rudderless and useless on the couch and the boy is doing breakneck ...
The film barrels towards a climax that, wrapped up in an amusing tale of testicle obliteration, cannot hide a soppy, and on the nose explanation of its metaphors. He’s similar to Brad Pitt’s character in ”Fight Club”: a grungy,brash,violent force of life who revels in shattering convention and blowing smoke in the face of talk-it-out therapy.
