The sequel thankfully avoids the first film's occasionally icky aesthetics, and drops some of the weirder messages, such as the idea that a 15-year-old virgin is an aberration worthy of ridicule. A great easter egg is a meta-tribute to Gary and Penny Marshall, both involved in the original film and no long with us.
