Route map: The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a landmark which consists of 2,777 [1] five-pointed terrazzo -and- brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California.
View Hollywood Walk of Fame in a full screen map. The first permanent star was placed in 1960, though it took until 1978 for it to be designated as a cultural monument. Today the Walk encompasses 1.3 miles of Hollywood Blvd and nearly a half mile of Vine St.
