  2. The John Seales Animal Services Center was named after John Seales, who started an Animal Shelter, called John’s Dog Hotel while he was stationed in Vietnam in the 1960s. He then started his career with the City of Hot Springs Animal Services in 1977. John was instrumental in getting legislation passed in Arkansas making animal fighting a felony.

The adoption fee structure is as follows: $75 for each dog; $55 for each cat; $25 for each hoofed animal; $15 for any other animal and $0 for fowl or poultry. The prices are as stated, regardless if the animal has already been microchipped, sterilized or vaccinated.

  5. Adoption Policy All of our pets are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, immunized, and sterilized prior to adoption. We have the vet assess each animal's suitability as a pet as well.
