He then started his career with the City of Hot Springs Animal Services in 1977. John was instrumental in getting legislation passed in Arkansas making animal fighting a felony.

  3. The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League (HSVAWL) is in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that works cooperatively with the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (POA) Animal Control to rescue, vet, and find homes for ALL adoptable cats and dogs that come through POA intake.
