Head directly west from the Warrior, and you'll find a little man named Shamus standing near a tree (-547 / 64 / 231)
Ask him about Zanaris and you'll learn that there is a shed in the swamp that acts as a portal to the city if you're carrying a Dramen staff.

You will be teleported into a small cave with a tree located at the other end, attempting to chop it will summon the Tree spirit and it will begin attacking you.
The Tree spirit is not much of a fight, and can be killed fairly easily.
