Apr 27, 2021 · The only way to get to Alcatraz is by a ferry operated by Alcatraz City Cruises, LLC. They are located on The Embarcadero near the intersection of Bay Street - just a bit south east of Fisherman's Wharf.
You can purchase your tickets through them online at Alcatraz City Cruises or call (415) 981-7625. Weather on Alcatraz is unpredictable and liable to change unexpectedly. Always bring layers and wear comfortable, close-toed walking shoes. Eating and smoking is restricted to one area near the dock.
