Does the BevMo 5 cent wine sale actually save you any money? Nov 30, 2018 We at SFGATE have long wondered: Does this sale actually save you any money, or is the first bottle priced at twice as much as other vendors sell it for, so that the two bottles retail for roughly the same average price?
The complaint alleged that BevMo deceptively marketed its “5¢ sale.” Specifically, plaintiffs claimed that the company represented that consumers who paid the “ClubBev!” (i.e., the regular or usual) price for one bottle of wine would get a second bottle for only 5¢ when, in reality, BevMo marked up the price of the first bottle.

First, the not-so-secret is that BevMo always has wines on the 5 cent sale. When they do the big advertising for it they have more selections but you can find good wines there any time.
