In fact, throughout 2021, their contributions helped us add updated business information, such as a place’s hours of operation or its health and safety protocols, for 30% more businesses than in 2020.

On Google Maps, you can write reviews for places that you visit. You can also leave info or post photo or video updates about a place, like if it’s quiet and romantic or if it’s under renovation.
Important: To keep policy violators off Google Maps, we moderate user reviews and related content. Any violations that we find are subject for review and removal.

Tip: Your reviews and opinions are voluntary. We don’t pay reviewers to add reviews to Google Maps.
All reviews are public and anyone can find what you add. You’re unable to add an anonymous review.
Here's some more info that others can find when you write a review:
• The name on your About me page.
• Other photos and videos that you added to Google Maps, and the location info that's attached.
• Reviews that you wrote on Google Maps.
Tip: If you’re a Local Guide, you can get points when you add photos and videos to Google Maps.
To help you share an experience, or help others choose or make a better decision, you can add ratings or reviews.
Before you add a rating or review, make sure that you follow the content policy. Reviews and ratings may be removed from the page, and in most cases, they are removed for policy violations like spam or inappropriate content.

• To find suggestions of places to review, click Contribute.
4. To share a review, at the bottom of the review, tap Share .
